I'd like to see a picture of him on the school bus wearing a commander's hat with the clock tower in the background showing 8.55am. Anything less than that and I'm afraid it's the electric chair for you Sonny Jim.

Anyway, your goose has just been cooked because you have fighting in your corner the same guy that posted on Blitz's wall:

it is sad to see how many crucified posts towards you. I doubt if all that players even read you defending responses which sounds very reasonable to me so therefore I believe you didnt have any intention to cheat. head up, and defend your honor ;)

You assume. The C&A team will not give us details of when it logs IP addresses, so all we can do is guess at what IP information they have from commander's account. All we can do in this case is ASSUME that they know what they're talking about with the IP information. And based on past C&A experiences and experiences with the mods/admins, I definitely feel like an ASS for that.

Fair enough. But this is a case of a paying member having his account going havoc stating that he in fact did not do it. Thing is, if someone with the know-how and tools wanna access your account, they can do it. I see no reason to impose a strict liability for one's account since no one can guarantee one's account.

Mostly, this thread is a PR disaster. Having KA making posts like he's a highway patrolman (implying verdicts and punishments) is not good customer relationship. Especially issues concerning long-time paying members should be solved switfly and with no fuss. He says someone accessed his accounts and he has no history of malice intent. Make a note, unlock the account and see what happens. Wouldn't be a thorough review, but customer relationship isn't about passing verdicts and issuing warnings. It's about going with the flow and showing benefit of doubt.

His account can't be unlocked, until they have gotten to the bottom of this. If, as some are suggesting, his computer was hacked and his account accessed remotely, then it could happen again.

if his computer was hacked someone could just make a multi post in the forms defending him a few times and really screw him...so i dont think unlocking his account can do that much harm really. What is the worst a player can do?

From a security standpoint (what I used to do for a living), setting up your own web proxy is a simple matter. Making it report erroneous information is quite easy, too.

There's simply no way all web proxies could be blocked - only (1) known web proxies, or (2) proxies that announce themselves as proxies.

I'm not going to go in depth because the multi hunters would probably not like that...and it's not exactly hard information to find if you really want.

*Edit: One caveat is that the person would have to know something about Commander and his computer usage habits...as would someone trying to take over via a trojan scenario.

I did some research...I don't know if it will help. There were some suggestions in the forum to present evidence that shows how out of character these actions were. Out of hundreds of games over the last three months...these were the only three speed games commander played.
2011-03-22 22:14:31 - Game has been initialized Speed Game 8747982
2011-01-12 23:42:05 - Game has been initializedSpeed Game 8307797
2010-11-17 23:04:33 - Game has been initializedSpeed Game 7990084

In his regular game turns taken between 9:04 and 9:11, his account's turns lasted mostly between 9 and 35 seconds...with the exception of the First Nations games where they lasted closer to a minute...however considering the amount of attacking being done...the play was still remarkably fast.

Game 8865359
2011-04-19 09:04:33 - Commander62890 received 4 troops for 18 regions
2011-04-19 09:04:37 - Commander62890 deployed 4 troops on Alakaluf
2011-04-19 09:04:39 - Commander62890 assaulted Coahuiltec from Apache and conquered it from Nephilim
2011-04-19 09:05:14 - Commander62890 assaulted Choco from Muisca and conquered it from Nephilim
2011-04-19 09:05:23 - Commander62890 assaulted Ciboney from Seminole and conquered it from Namor
2011-04-19 09:05:27 - Commander62890 assaulted Taino from Ciboney and conquered it from Namor
2011-04-19 09:05:30 - Commander62890 reinforced Aparai with 2 troops from Palenque
2011-04-19 09:05:30 - Commander62890 ended the turn and got spoils

A typical commander turn is much longer...even on a board that he plays a considerable amount more.
Game 8350693
2011-01-24 12:04:17 - Commander62890 received 5 troops for 15 regions
2011-01-24 12:07:00 - Commander62890 deployed 5 troops on Max
2011-01-24 12:07:07 - Commander62890 assaulted Ryu from Max and conquered it from Gunn217
2011-01-24 12:07:30 - Commander62890 assaulted Corey from Ryu and conquered it from alt1978
2011-01-24 12:08:26 - Commander62890 reinforced Big Ed with 1 troops from Tony
2011-01-24 12:08:26 - Commander62890 ended the turn and got spoils

I understand that reading this in a forum seems very anecdotal...but i've looked at a lot games and the pattern holds up. He is a deliberate player...and these turns taken between 9:04 and 9:11 would be the fastest commander turns ever.

Also a question for the mods or someone who knows more about this than me...is it possible without invites to join three speed games in 2 seconds...(or without for that matter)

8912973 2011-04-19 09:20:32 - Game has been initialized
8912972 2011-04-19 09:20:32 - Game has been initialized
8912971 2011-04-19 09:20:33 - Game has been initialized

Hannibal 19 joined all three of these games in 2 seconds time...looks strange but could completely possible. It's not possible on my computer...but maybe there's an addon that lets you join games that fast.

With left-clicking, I don't think so.

With right-clicking and opening link in another tab, I guess it's possible.

Hi all. I still have to catch up on reading all this, I think I got to page 11 last night before I went to bed, and I just woke up. I've been told to pass this along from Commander, so here it is. I hope it isn't redundant.

"Forget about someone else doing it from my computer. My brother can't play CC.
Either you believe I suicided in 15 team games or you don't. It's as simple as that.

If I am reinstated, and this thing happens again, that doesn't mean I am really doing it, because I'm not.
It just means my account is compromised somehow. I guess they will have hacked me twice?
I suppose I will be willing to close my account if this happens again.
Whoever wants to ruin me will have won.

But don't let them win after they hack me just once.

I don't know why this is happening to me and no one else. I am just as confused as you :("

If commander receives a ban for this, then a huge injustice will have occurred. I am another who will vouch for his character and there is no way he would ever suicide and point dump, especially in his team games. He has played well over 5,000 games, has been a paying member for a long time and has contributed to this site. He had absolutely no reason to do this, nor is it in his nature to give away his points and kill his teammates. Use your heads here team CC. Reinstate him and let him play.

(I am not saying Commander would actually do this, as I have shown my opinion and support earlier)

I would think (2) to be a logical thing. While the moderators think they have evidence that indicate Commander did it, there is truly no motive at this point. When Commander tanked his points earlier, was it done in the same way or fashion? No. The behavior doesn't link up and if another event like this happened, we could safely say where there's smoke there's fire. But he deserves the benefit of the doubt in this instance.

This kid needs someone to scan his computer for trojan viruses, not steal $25 from him and tell him he can't roll imaginary dice.

you're missing the point

the mods have said it was done on Commander's ip. it does not matter if you prove it wasn't him, he is still responsible for the actions taken via his ip.

There are various ways to disguise an IP, via proxies and the such. It wouldnt be such a stretch to assume that something of the like was used. Unfortunately, it is tough to prove if one was used (as their intended use). The bigger point is he is responsible for the actions taken via his account.

As unfair as it is, you have to understand the multi hunters reasoning on this case and respect that they are doing everything they can.

If Commander has proof he didn't do it, he will be let off.

What proof can he show? You want his teacher or parents to vouch that he left for school by then? How would CC verify it? Yeah life goes on but it's a shit way to shaft someone who has already been shafted.

Tbh yes. He needs to prove that he was in class that day. Photo of his register that day? Don't see why not.

If he wants to come back that badly that should be sufficent evidence to prove his innocence. We won't have to see it, only the CC admins.

@LFAW - So now you're saying he's not logical? Right now he sees everything stacked against him. He's saying if he can get a guarantee that it will prove his innocence if he does all the extra work, he'll do it. If it won't amount to anything or effect the verdict whatsoever, what's the point in wasting his time?

Isn't Commander responsible for his own a/c and PC?
Surely if the defense is "yes, I stayed logged in, it came from my pc but someone else did it" the whole of c&a would be a farce.
