Re: KLOBBER - CC'S NUMBER 1 CHEATER

Postby jiminski on Mon Jun 23, 2008 8:06 pm

is anyone looking into his blatant ratings manipulation?

Most of his games are filled with Deadbeats and he offers to mark all with 5's in spite that! he choses Circus Maximus as he has calculated that most of them will deadbeat due to the crappy board and 'esoteric' appeal. he knows all or most will deadbeat and then offers high ratings to maintain his rating.

Game 2505752

Theres NOTHING wrong with setting up 8 player circus games in the knowledge that noobs will join.

There is NOTHING wrong with telling people that if you miss 3 turns you will be eliminated from a game.

The only quarrel I would have with KLOBBER's strategies is that he says he will leave 5s. If people DB by the end of round 3 I leave them 1-1-1 for ratings...fair imo. If he didn't offer these 5 ratings I would have no problem with his ways personally.

klobber is so pathetic that i'm actually starting to believe banning him would be a bad thing.
i mean imagine what a sad pathetic life he has if he's playing CC like this. i'm afraid that without CC klobber might commit suicide or something.
and i'm not kidding here. it's very sad but pathetic creatures like him do exist.
i knew a kid (from my highschool) that actually missed all the classes flunked everything had no friends no girlfriend and all because of counterstrike. he was a weird guy that somehow found out that his only reason to live is CS. when he played (and he played great) he was everything that he could not be in real life. it was his alternative life. he had to go in the army when he turned 18 but he deserted and he was sent to jail when he was found a few days later in a nearby i-cafe. he killed himself in prison. all because he didn't have access to CS.
klobber is like that.
are you willing to have him on your conscience?

CC Admin has announced more than once in this forum that I am CLEARED of any and all false accusations of cheating.

I am determined to arrange for every exchange that I have, with every player, in every game, to be "excellent" in every category. All smiles, all compliments, all good feelings, all around. Gloomy Gus hates me for my happy, friendly, and positive approach, but that's his problem.

So far, with one exception, I have found my exchanges to be mutually excellent in every category, and this fact is reflected in my rating history, both given and received. I have encountered no "noobs" and no "deadbeats" in my games. I have encountered nice human beings, for the most part, and I am enacting a proactive policy of good vibes and good ratings. Pessimists and those envious due to their own unhappiness and inability to have pleasant exchanges with others do not like this, but it is really not their place to criticize.

Each of us is free to approach the new ratings system as we see fit. This also applies to me.

My positive approach to the new ratings system is a "win-win" situation for all involved, and it is working out very well for me and every member with whom I have played so far (except the one that I mentioned, but I am also working with him to enact a mutual withdrawal).

I highly recommend my positive and friendly approach to the new ratings system for each and every member on this site, as it is working out great for me so far.

BTW, the new ratings system ROCKS!

Thanks, Conquer Club!

Ah, there's the rub. He doesn't play, he waits three rounds for everyone to deadbeat. If he had to play, he'd lose. That's why he quits games when real players join.

There is no scope for any moderation of the new ratings system, especially not by some insignificant, envious non-moderator with a petty chip on his shoulder. Leaving good ratings for people with whom I have had mutually "excellent" exchanges is a far cry from abuse, in any case.

Good feelings, good vibes, and good ratings all around -- that's my new motto! You don't like it, don't play a game with me -- I'm okay with that! Negativity-oriented people cannot understand my positive approach, but then again, they have absolutely no say in the ratings exchanges that I have with other members, their all-consuming envy notwithstanding.

did anybody notice how klobber never actually managed to come even close to the top positions on the scoreboard?
i mean, playing the same map, having on ignore list anybody over 1000 points, telling new recruits to deadbeat, and yet so far from the conqueror rank

it's like using steroids and still finishing outside of the podium. pathetic

I realize that what Klobber's doing isn't cheating.

However, what he is doing is making the point system worthless. The fact is, that it is far easier to "up your rank" by gaming the system than by actually improving your skill. Klobber probably would be a corporal like me if he played a random selection of maps. But he knows that the real strategy of CC isn't to get good at the game--it's to get good at the system.

Of course, this only matters because for some strange reason, Klobber sees points as worth something in themselves. Others might feel a sense of pride reaching the rank of whatever, because it represents how much they have worked at improving their strategy. Klobber's rank, however, only shows how much time he has wasted in trying to earn meaningless points.

And points are essentially made meaningless because of people like him.

I loved the introduction of "medals" because it makes things like this less useful. It's hard to game the system to earn a wide variety of medals. In a suggestion thread that Klobber was posting in, I made a comment on how despite his high rank, his lack of medals showed how little effort he put into that rank. He responded by telling me how worthless I was, because I had a low rank. At least my rank is somewhat representative of my skill (I suck at this game ;) ).
Since then, he's started this "I'll give you all 5's" thing-- it's really easy to earn the medals for ratings. But 6 medals is the maximum he can ever hope to have without branching out. So his medals are truly representative of how good he is at this game.

Of course, I also know that he won't read this, because he has me on ignore. He puts most people on ignore. ;)

Well, guys, I've been thinking.

Maybe it IS jealousy. Maybe we just can't get enough of a player that's better than us, and who's smart enough to get points easily and quickly!!

Maybe anyone who actually believes me needs to see a doctor, right here, right now.

I've said this countless times, but the amount of one-time deadbeats that join his games and never return to CC is so astronomically high that it beats all odds. You'd have more chance of winning the lottery 3 times in a row or getting struck by lightning in your willy.

By the way kids, while continuing this discussion with Klobber, don't forget to quote everything that he says when you're replying to him.

I suppose that it's just another sign of his character that he such an odious habit of erasing his posts when you reply to them, especially when those posts contained flagrant flames or trolling. You see, Klobber has quite the reputation for flaming other users and then (after the counter-attack) replacing his flames with mod-palatable text, before reporting responding users for 'personally attacking' him. You might think that Klobber's little habit is somewhat craven and gutless, especially for somebody who alleges to be a grown man... but of course, I couldn't possibly comment.

Anyway, I just thought I ought to let everybody know about yet another of this user's unpleasant little antisocial habits. After all, he seems to have quite the repertoire of them.
