Ok first let me apologize for the delay in the ruling on this case.
It did take some time to conclude cause us mods were hashing out our opinions and coming up with where we were going to stand on these, but for the past few weeks and few more to come I am limited on what I can do. No other hunter/C&A mod was going to close this for me because I was the one who led the discussion behind closed doors. This was my bust for not getting doen before I couldnt physically do it anymore.
So I am deeply sorry for that delay... Now on to the case.
With our present rules that are in place I have no choice but to Clear DH from these actions. I do however find this bad play and very cheap, both my opinions, but when it comes down to the black and white of what is written for rules DH is operating in the gray.
To give more hindsight as to why this is the way it is I will try to provide an example.
This case of abuse can be equated on the same plain as that of back to back turn taking in freestyle or even telling positions in a fog game. Both would appear to disrupt game play in an unfair way, both can provide tactical advantages if used properly for players to enhance their points gained by winning, but both are currently allowed on this site. If you partake in those actions could you get a bad rating and tagged with not soo nice tags, yeah sure you could and it would be justifiable. But with the rules/precedents we have now this is not against the rules.
Even if we were to try to limit the games played with lesser ranks up the ladder to cadets then it would only shift the damage up the chain of things. We looked at every angle on this to try to determine if our final decision would be the fairest and most accurate way to rule on this and for many reasons we have found that DH is playing within the bounds of the rules.
I encourage you to use the Foe and Ratings system o your hearts desire if you feel his actions speak to you in an unfair and abuse sense that way you dont need to deal with it, and let him move on in the site and in rank in this way if he so chooses.
