It's not a standard tactic Owen. It's cheap and I do believe intentionally missing turns is against the rules. Crash, you should look at his other active games at that time to see if he missed other turns or not. If he didn't then it's clearly a tactic and shouldn't be tolerated, but if he missed other turns then obviously it wasn't deliberate.

To gain a tactical advantage it is, yes.

This is along the same lines, actually. Now if nicescott is consistent in missing turns, then it is a violation.

As you can see in that example the player was cleared as he did not break any rules.

sooo, to show that what we are saying is incorrect (it is not against the rules to miss turns), you post a thread in which someone was CLEARED for missing turns? um... not a very good argument... but hey, thanks for proving our point. it is not against the rules...-Jésus noir

If you would have taken the time to actually READ the whole thing, which I highly doubt you did, In Game 11328764, mc05025 would have been warned for Intentional Deadbeating, if he would have deadbeated. Which he didn't. Please learn to actually READ before you comment, showing you added, again, nothing to contribute to this topic.

um... you are having an entirely different debate. this is not about someone missing three turns in a row... the game takes care of that, by kicking you out. had you taken the time to read the thread and actually knew the rules ("WOW, did you know if you miss three turns it is against the rules?!! SO, THIS GUY MISSING TURNS IS AGAINST THE RULES!!!"), you would understand that the OP is accusing Nice Scott of INTENTIONALLY MISSING TURNS AS A STRATEGY!! that is absolutely not against the rules. so, thank you for the baiting and the flaming, however, you are 100% incorrect.

yes, deadbeating is against the rules. hence, you are auto-kicked from games. missing multiple turns within a game, is not against the rules. sorry, you are arguing fish prices to BEEF RANCHERS... you pretty much did not bring any steak to this bbq, just a block of tofu... good luck with whatever it is you are trying to prove here, but you are absolutely incorrect... the black jesus has spoken through tears of laughter...-Jésus noir

p.s.-"yeah, um, sure he was cleared.. BUT IF HE HAD MISSED THAT THIRD TURN, HE WOULD HAVE DEAD BEATED OUT OF THE GAME!!! AND GOTTEN A WARNING!!!" *eyes rolling right out of my black jesus skull* no, he would have lost the game by missing three turns in a row. it takes a ton of game log info to prove someone intentionally dead beated a game. at TON... you just have no grasp of the rules or what this thread is about. *snicker*

Missing turns to gain the advantage, and misuse the intentions of the site is called an exploit. In the example I provided, the accused was attempting to miss 3 turns to give all his troops to his teammate, and win the game. That would have been an exploit in the site and definitely abuse.

In this case, the same thing is going on. In the game provided, nice scott missed his turn, then took his next turn later that gave him an advantage. That's an abuse of the site, and that's not what is intended for use.

More examples here:

Game 16185383
Code: Select all
2015-12-15 07:01:42 - nice scott missed a turn
2015-12-15 07:01:42 - Incrementing game to round 3
2015-12-15 07:15:14 - nice scott received 4 troops for 13 regions

Game 16182756
Code: Select all
2015-12-14 01:05:51 - nice scott missed a turn
2015-12-14 01:05:51 - Incrementing game to round 2
2015-12-14 07:01:48 - nice scott received 4 troops for 13 regions

Game 16181457
Code: Select all
2015-12-14 07:29:11 - nice scott missed a turn
2015-12-14 07:29:11 - Incrementing game to round 3
2015-12-14 07:30:02 - nice scott received 4 troops for 12 regions

Only three examples off the first page of his games. Probably more if it was looked into.

It's the same principle, not the exact same thing. Owen, I thought you would have been smarter than this man. Nice try in trying to get me to say something that would be considered flaming to your posts that add nothing. I feel like I'm Peter Griffin talking to you, the Housekeeper... Video below:

sorry, missing turns to gain an advantage is not against the rules. has never been and will never be. sorry. it just isn't so. and again, your example showed the guy was CLEARED. so, you don't know what his intent was, you only know what the assumption was. and at the end of the day, this case is about a guy missing turns in his game, period. it is not against the rules to miss turns. and as far as your "exploit" argument, play some team games. team members exploit a nice loop hole to get their partners cards, by killing them and going on to win a match. that is not against the rules and people rage against that all the time too...

what this thread is about, is not against the rules. period. i can pull up 100's of threads in the C&A with this same complaint. the precedent has been set for years upon years. missing turns is not against the rules. if it were, almost EVERY ESCALATING GAME would end up in C&A... period... the black jesus has spoken..-Jésus noir

It's gross abuse of the game and therefore breaks the rules.

I dunno. I was bored, so I clicked in C&A... And I see some of you are confused...

Allow me to enlighten you...

http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=239&t=104403&p=2359472&hilit=intentionally+missed+turn#p2359472

I couldn't remember who was doing it, so i just searched it...

This isn't the example I remember, but it's ME be a little less lazy than you birds that are chirp chirp chirping without even knowing for sure what the answer is...

But intentionally missing a turn in order to gain a tactical advantage is against the rules...

I don't know if that applies here because (like you guys) I haven't taken 20 seconds to look in the game and see what was happening, and I don't really care...

But I DO care to let you know that you are idiots...

Thank you and have a good day...

This is the exact reason nobody is held accountable for this kind of crap: none of you can even agree on if something is against or not against the rules... and you wonder why people won't stay and play here?

- This could go back and forth for weeks/months/years,,,Until a Mod. jumps in and gives final ruling this thread is juggling. I personally can't see how anyone could actually prove that one missed turn was intentional, Unless ya live with the guy and he said " Yo Jim,come here,, check this out, I'm gonna miss this turn so I have a tactical advantage"? This topic is getting old, Needs a Mod. so bad it can taste it! ")

If that's the case, why are you even putting any input into it?

You have no say, so I would suggest staying out it and letting the mods handle it.

Starting first and being 100% sure of keeping NA bonus ? I see a benefit there.

2015-12-30 17:42:04 - Crash_22 ended the turn and got spoils
2015-12-31 16:47:21 - nice scott missed a turn
2015-12-31 16:47:21 - Incrementing game to round 7
2015-12-31 16:49:13 - nice scott received 5 troops for holding North America
2015-12-31 16:49:13 - nice scott received 6 troops for 18 regions

And earlier in the game Crash was able to deploy and take one region before nice scott deployed so it wasn't impossible that crash break the NA bonus if nice scott played his turn ( I dunno if crash had a region bordering NA though ).
