yeap, the chap's a tool.

...but i say keep him around: the jokes are unpleasant and very very weak. They are not even witty-unpleasant racism and as such the lad is the perfect example that racism is not big and it's not clever.
The style of the 'humour' lacks the most elementary aspects of the sardonic and illustrates that racist humour is almost always intended to hurt not amuse. It obtusely achieves this via its loose : absent allusion to the poignant and its tenuous grasp on rhythm or cohesion.

In short, if the world is to be filled with racists then i chose those bred of the witlessly moronic stock as opposed to the witty intelligent ones who coax guilty humour from an unsuitable subject.

this tasteless thread is clearly a violation of the Community Guidelines, and this user should be given a forum ban, as CC continually states that racism is in no way tolerated on the site. it is time to take this issue seriously, as it is slowly getting out of hand, and CC is becoming a very hostile place for people of different colours, creeds, etc... the guidelines are clear on this matter:

it is wonderful that clapper locked and edited this thread. it would be more wonderful if CC started to truly punish racist actions on the site. a member can be openly racist and continually spew racist rhetoric with very little repercussion other than a 24 hour ban. however, if the same member point dumps, that action is worthy of a suspension.

maybe because it violates the bigotry guidelines and this was the second such thread that he has started that i felt needed to be addressed in C&A. by posting it in C&A i was able to add the first such instance which was handled within this forum, assuring that whomever looked at this, would understand the issue. if i only reported the post, would you have gone and looked to see if he had been turned in for bigotry prior to his post? perhaps, maybe not, who knows. however, i don't know who is looking at the reported posts, and i wanted to make sure that his past bigoted comments were taken into consideration and the thread was not simply locked. and guess what, lance was able to pass it along as he saw fit in his role as a mod within this forum... sooo, i guess i did the right thing.-0

As I am sure you are aware, a person's history is taken into account whenever a warning or vacation is handed out. In this case reporting the post would have been enough, but there was nothing wrong in starting the thread. You got a quicker response from the thread than the reported post.
