Daggerheart Noob Farming He's Not My Mistake [Noted]

Postby JCKing on Tue Apr 07, 2009 3:24 pm

Accused:

Daggerheart

The accused are suspected of:

Other: N00B Farming

Game number(s):

Game 4624382
Game 4624045
Game 4625236
Game 4621155

Comments: All those games were made in order for ?'s to join. He fully intends to target ?'s and on occassion he will get actual ranked players in the game. He has been making those type of games for a while, and needs to be warned not to target n00bs.

Only if he is sending messages to the new recruits to join games
that they have very little chance of winning.
Other than that, they are free to join his games.

Is Texan Wars the big noob map on the site? Or is this sour grapes coming from JCKing?

From the other thread:

Wrong. Dagger started the game on an "easy" map. He can't control who joins it, don't be ridiculous. Unless you have proof that he is inviting question marks, or dropping games where non-question marks joined, etc... then you have nothing here.

Dropping games where non-question marks join isn't even against the rules, apparently. KLOBBER does this ALL the time, and the administration is unwilling to do anything about it.

Well yea... But at least that's something more than "DUR DUR QUESTION MARKS JOIN GAMES THAT SOMEONE MADE DUR DUR".

Yes but so is the Charleston Map, which knightscross had been making. Also and easy map, but knightscross was warned. There is no way to prove if he dropped games, or anything. I have nothing against daggerheart, and no sour grapes either. I just think if one is warned, then the same should be for other players.

Honestly I didn't agree with the ruling that was placed on knightscross for this same thing. Cause I agree with the stance that you cant help who joins your games.

However the mods have something up their sleeves that allows them to detect of abuse when it comes to playing a majority of new recruits over not.

So it will be a judgement decision by them. If for some reason there is a streak of me making games and newbies joining it, without lack of evidence of me seeking them out I don't think their can be prosecution on this. Coincidences do happen.

Good Luck,
KS

Oh I definitely agree. No one has control over who joins, but honestly it wouldn't be fair for one to get away with it and one not to. But I agree knightcross should have not gotten in trouble, unless he cheaply got them to join. Which I don't believe is the case with Daggerheart as well. All I'm saying is that maybe Daggerheart should stop making 1 type of game, with same settings, that's the only thing the I have suspicions on. But I fully agree that they don't have control over who joins.

What's wrong with Texas? Is it particularly confusing and tedious enough that players won't stick around to play? Are they 8 player games? Is he dropping games when you join? Did he foe list everyone on the first 20 pages of the scoreboard?

I don't understand what the problem is. He likes a map, and he's playing it. Just because your friend was warned not to target new recruits doesn't mean everyone is doing that when they start public games.

I get what your saying, and knightcross isn't my friend. Anyway I understand what your saying. I'm just saying if I were to go out start a whole bunch on the Texas map, have ?'s join, then bam I would be accused of n00b farming. I guarantee it, b/c Charleston is not a hard map to understand either yet, Knightcross (higher rank) was accused and warned for n00b farming.

Sorry to Daggerheart, I just noticed those few games where only ?'s joined. Keep on enjoying, and having fun. I should have done more research into this, he has only played 24 games on this map, which isn't much, as well as his relative rank is Point Hoarder (really should give some back you pig :P ), as well as playing with many ranked players. This was my mistake, and poorly looked into on my part.

The thread is an accusation was made AGAINST daggerheart, not in support of him. The onus is on "you" to prove him guilty. Spouting off that question marks join his games is not evidence.

Daggerheart does not seem to be farming, but there are a few games with a lot of New Recruits. This will be noted for future reference.
