amor_ksir AND jeffbroomhead [Cleared]

Postby Fuggazi on Fri May 23, 2008 5:21 pm

Accused:

The accused are suspected of:
  • Being Multis
  • Having a secret alliance

Game number(s):

Comments:
I strongly believe they have a secret alliance or possibly the same person. The 3 of us have been fairly even for almost the entire game. But I have noticed neither has attached each other in 10 turns now and only attached each other once in the last 18 turns. Each has allowed the other to maintain control of a continent even when the other has a huge advantage in armies at the borders. Common sense would tell anyone that they would of attached each other more than once in 18 turns. This has been a game of me against the two of them from the very start. No alliance was every proclaimed in the chat box and they clearly have one!!

If they attack each other., then you win. It's solid strategy. They have no suspicious history together.

So if they never attach each other to make sure I don't win but one of them wins, that's not an alliance. :?: :roll:

It is slightly suspicious that they have both only attacked you since the point where you eliminated blue. However, this does not mean that there is a secret alliance. There are times when it is in the best interest of two players to gang up on the third player without making any sort of official alliance and without contacting one another. From the game log, what I can tell is that when you eliminated blue, you had 32 territories (I cannot tell exactly which these are, other than all of Oceania). This means that the other two players had 10 territories between the two of them. By attacking you, they were trying to balance the game out. At this point, you might want to talk to green and convince him that red is both of your biggest threat now.

Red is clearly winning and still green continues to attach only me. I can only assume that secret alliances are allowed since green is a lieutenant so he isn't stupid and can see what is happening and clearly wants red to win. Attached each other once now in the last 24 turns. Nothing suspicious about that. :roll:

They are noy multis and have no history together. They could have an alliance but why? Like I said, they don't play together.

I just checked your game and Jeff's last play was to attack Amor. So you are mistaken, they have attacked each other in the last 24 hours. It's also a flat rate game so it's taking a long time and everybody is being very careful If Jeff goes after Amor then he will be very weakened and vice versa. It's the same reason that you have not gone after either one of them. Why? Because if you do then more than likely you will lose. Well, the same holds true for the other players. Jeff is now very strong and Amor should not have let him get there but bad play does not equal a secret alliance.

Now, stop making excuses and do something about your situation. Instead of sitting in Aussie just waiting for something to happen; make it happen for you. That's part of the strategy. Instead of boo hooing because Amor didn't make a move; take the bull by the horns and try to win the game. If not, Jeff is going to land on you like a ton of bricks. Remember, Aussie is only worth two armies, cards are worth a whole lot more. If you want to get a higher rank, quit protecting Aussie like a gold mine.

Suspects:
* jeffbroomhead
* amor_ksir

Verdict: Cleared of multiple accounts. Cleared of secret alliance. Use feedback/ignore at your discretion.
