dietdew

I am accusing dietdew of "gross abuse of the game".

[b]Game number 2248852

If you read the game chat, dietdew was an extremely poor sport. He bassically complained that since I took australia in the first round, he had no chance of winning (not entirely true because the game is still going on, and he's doing fairly well...). Here's the game chat, I shouldn't have to explain everything...

2008-04-16 14:09:28 - dietdew: 1st round KO, zippy chance I win
2008-04-16 14:09:30 - dietdew: lame
2008-04-16 14:12:47 - cpurcell: lol
2008-04-16 14:14:15 - dietdew: nice, got a sweet fcking 0-4
2008-04-16 14:14:23 - dietdew: lol your face
2008-04-16 14:14:39 - dietdew: when i deadbeat this game
2008-04-16 14:14:58 - cpurcell: dude calm down, I went from sergent to private first class in a day so save it for someone who'll pity you
2008-04-16 14:16:18 - dietdew: save your face when this game takes 5 days
2008-04-16 14:50:09 - cpurcell: lmfao! Dude when this takes longer than a day, I'm taking you to the admins and showing them the game chat. I'm pretty sure that it's against the rules to deadbeat (purposfully throw) a game.
2008-04-16 14:51:37 - cpurcell: just wanted to let you know that you're on my ignore list and that if you want to insult me more, that you'll have to pm me
2008-04-17 13:43:10 - dietdew: haha

According to the "unwritten rules" found in the rules section of conquer club, it states that intentionally deadbeating or throwing games is "forbidden". He hasn't deadbeated yet (probably because I threatened him), but he's clogging up a game slot with a game that should have been done long ago. He's being an extremely poor sport, and I think that this would count as "gross abuse of the game". As you can see by his feedback, several other players have had problems with him too. I just don't think that a jerk like this should be able to punish other people at will whenever he starts losing.

He only threatened to deadbeat. You have nothing to complain about, the game is still going and he is taking his turn.

there should be some way to punish him for intentionally trying to hurt me. so far, he's run almost if not every turn down to about 3 hours. I know that he'll come up with some ridiculous explanation for it, but that's just unacceptable. Plus he'll give me negative feedback for no reason...that's just plain sh*t!

This means that a player can take as much of the 24 hours as they want for their turn. Also, having looked at that game, you are fairly even, so apparently his strategy (whatever it is) is working. He has also not missed a single turn yet. Even if he had missed turns, the only thing that is not allowed is to intentionally lose the game, if this opponent thought it would be a worthwhile strategy to miss two consecutive turns and then take his third turn with only 5 min left on the clock that is a valid way to play the game as well. As I stated above, you really do not have anything to complain about, yet. If you want, you can leave a negative feedback for him citing facts from the game when the game ends.

Okay, I can live with everything that you just said before this, but now he has actually missed a turn. In the rules section it says "Obviously any gross abuse of the game is forbidden. This includes but is not limited to: throwing games, intentional deadbeating, serial teammate killing, hijacking accounts." Notice that throwing games, and intentional deadbeating are stated separately. This means that even if it is his strategy to deadbeat for 2 or 3 turns, it's still illegal. He flat out told me that he was going to deadbeat me, and now he's actually done it. Illegal no? I don't like trying to screw people over, but when they do it to me first, and for no good reason, then I feel like somone needs to retaliate...

its not "gross abuse of the game".
Just add this player to your foes list and be done with it.

If you need more explenation, think of "gross abuse of the game" as in intentionally throwing 50 games, or deadbeating in 50 games every week. This player you mentioned may use tactics that annoy you, may be unpleasant ect ect, but it does not constitute "gross abuse of the game". Just move on
