To revive the polls and the overall column, we plan to cover maps, map types, and the like. Most of the first polls will deal with presently released maps, but we hope to expand back to the Foundry in the near future.

So to start things off, what is your favorite conquest map? Why?

The first age of realms - I'm not sure if AOR-Might was before Feudal War, but AOR was extremely cool, and still is. It was the first conquest that I remember playing, and truly enjoying. The map graphics are unique, and the the details are something that are still unique to a risk style map. DiM really nailed that map, and the follow-ups, but that first map was really ground-breaking.

I don't see Imperium Romanum as a conquest map... All of the other maps have specific starting positions, Imperium Romanum just has extra neutrals.

Neither do I.

Good call. Removed from poll, everyone has to revote though. :(

You should put 'Revote' in the title so people see it :)

I think Feudal War is the most balanced, hence the most fun. You really get a chance to position yourself, and do a little more than just deploy armies on your castle before you start attacking other players, so it feels a lot like conquest. The Age of Realms maps don't really achieve that feel, in my opinion, although Age of Realms: Magic comes close, hence why it's my favorite of the three.

New World is almost as good as Feudal, but it's a little more fast-paced, which brings it down a notch.

Please will someone revamp Treasures of Galapagos, I played it and I found I hate it with intensity!

Revamp? Revamp? Honestly, what are you talking about. Revamps are for graphics … anyway there's nothing really wrong with it.

I understand, I hate the graphics very, very much!
