This is the best way to keep intrest and feedback coming in. Seems to work for Realm, new world and and cairns maps. Is you leave a map to lonh wothout updating its suprising how hard it is to generate intrest again.
I agree with Gimil here...
When I first started work on my map I was completely unknown in the Foundry and my first draft truly sucked. But part of my "strategy" for getting input and creating interest was to keep the thread at the top of the map ideas section by placing polls and posting frequently.
I've been very inactive in the Foundry lately, as I've been enjoying playing my map and getting back to a few non-CC related things.
Something else I've enjoyed lately is putting together a Tournament with my map.
I encourage ALL map-makers to get involved in creating Tournaments. -It's a great outlet for your creativity!
Instead of merely using the typical spread-sheet type brackets, I made a background image and had a little fun with it.
Plus, who could be better at creating interesting Tourny's than those with the creative ability found here in the Foundry?
I guess my line of thinking is that with so many maps already in play and so many in development it's easy to get "foundry burn-out".
I don't think the Foundry is dying though, quite the opposite. More and more new faces are submitting ideas and I expect that the Foundry is just in a lull right now and will come back with great interest in coming weeks!
