Nobodies availabilty will be lower than usual

This post is just to let you know that I have some problem with my laptop :x , i tried to fix the issue but unfortunately I need a spare part that will be delievered to me in 1or2 weeks.
so for the next week(s) I could have some problems to be online and do all my activities during the italian day. i'll try to log in during the night , when i have the possibility to use the other laptop, but since I need to sleep like everyone else it won't be in this way all days.
I'll try to not create slowness, but if it happens at least you know the reason.

in any case I'll be around, so don't worry, I'm not totally off, just a bit less than usual.

P.s. The other laptop doesn't have PS on it, so any update on My maps is postponed to the end of the month.

Thanks in advance for your patience
Nobodies

everybody should do this kind of announcement in a dedicated thread to avoid any future problems.

I think that I'm the only one that should do this, being a TL.
In any case if the foundry goers think that it could help I'll let you know when one of my CAs is currently not available for some time. (not few days)

technically yes he wouldn't be but we wouldn't know the difference.
if he sleeps the lasts 10 minutes of each hour while sitting on the toilet with a laptop and a fridge full of food near him he can virtually be here all the time.

true... :(
what if we allow him 10 minutes per day for family and another 10 for friends? would that be ok? 8-[

Nah, I finally found a way to clone myself, so when one nobody is sleeping one of the others is online ;)

I always wondered why it was "thenobodies" (plural) and not "thenobody" (singular).

You should have a trip in my (tricky) mind to understand why it's plural.
The problem is that there's no way to come out of it once entered.

If nobodies is multiple clones, would that be account sharing? Or would it not be cuz they're all technically nobodies?

Dante in the original Italian, now that's a quotation!

And yes, we ARE all jealous because the voices in your head only talk to you.

Try the 6 day week.

You sleep 6 times a week, so that you have 6 days, with 28 hours in each, in a week.

6 * 28 = 168
7 * 24 = 168

That schedule has been shown by studies to drive anyone attempting it for more than a couple weeks absolutely nuts.

You don't have to be crazy to be on Team CC, but it helps!

I had a mate who tried changing his sleep pattern to 6 half hour naps, i was tempted to try but sadly does not really work when you have to turn up to work everyday slightly awake.
Maybe when i start besieged i will try changing my sleep pattern, then i can map make twice as fast...

You need at the bare minimum 45 minutes of sleep to benefit from R.E.M sleep (the type of sleep that actually refreshes your brain). So half hour naps are no good at all

actually gimil, you can train your brain into going straight to rem sleep by power napping 10 minutes at a time. it's really really hard at first but after a while when you fall asleep the brain knows it's not going to last so you go straight to rem.

Yes, but is that worth it? Even for CC? :P

Definitely worth it to get maps made quickly, gives you about 5 hours more time awake a day. about an extra 30% of map making time. Think how many maps cairnswk could have made...

It does take atleast 2 weeks to get used to a new sleep pattern, hence why it is really bad doing it while at work...
