NOT REALLY ONE IS PART OF THE OTHER. DO YOU THINK THAT THE USA: REGION MAPS ARE TOO SIMILAR TO THE USA MAP? SOVIET UNION TOO SIMILAR TO EASTERN HEMISPHERE?

Was the caps lock intentional?
And as long as each map is unique enough, it is fine. You can't have two near identical maps, but those are not even of the same country.

Yes, they cover very similar geography, but politically the maps are unique.

FYI, The Netherlands is a country in Europe. and The Benelux is a group of countries in europe (Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxembourg (together: BeNeLux)) because it are three small countries quite close together and share some history together, they are sometimes refered to as Benelux, like they are united, but it is still 3 seperate countries. Note that however it are different countries, parts of the countries speak the same language.

big parts of all the countries speak dutch, and other parts speak french. only small parts of each country speak german, and the netherlands have another language (frisian) which is only spoken in part of friesland (northern part of the netherlands) frisian is actually an older language then dutch, but there are not much people who still speak that language.

more detailed information: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benelux

the benelux is actually like the europese union, but on a smaller scale.
