I have a question.

Right now there are 4 categories per map: Idea, Gameplay, Graphics, xml


What if both cartos helped on GP or I. Would they both get teh tag for it?

I mean for 8 Thoughts, Coleman came up with the Idea based off of a board game he saw before. But we both worked on GP. So do we both get the 8 Thoughts: GP or just one of us. I am sure that this will come up from many more maps.

Maybe it would be easier to just do this like the medals: Idea, Graphics, xml
Especially since many people work on GP no one can actually be credited with all of it.

So for 8 Thoughts
Coleman gets: Idea, XML
WidowMakers: GFX.

I need help with these, i know that only 2 medal get-Developer and Co-developer,usualy one medal get for Graphic and Gameplay,and other for Xml, i realy dont heard that someon map have award for 3 map developers.

I can work on this after I get out of the car driving for 4-5 hours (if it's not done by then) from VT back to NYC ā€¦ kill me now.

But I'll make a list fer ya, qwert. I'll leave it to you to organize it ;)

Yeah, I would have thought it is unlikely for one person to be wholly responsible for every single map so why not allow more than one person to have the tag? I'm going through the list right now and for example we have gimil as a guest on the AOR maps.

Also Idea is change with Draft,we can not put all names-for examle, if you look on that way,we can have 4 people involved in development of map.
First can create whole idea,second can create Graphica,third Gameplay and fourt XMl.
Then everybody need to get credit for that. One person can easy Developed Idea,Gameplay and Graphic,and second can help with XML.

So? If you look at the example I gave a few pages back, the list is sorted by mapmaker, then for each map he's contributed to, it lists what contributions were made. So if Person A did graphics on map 1 and gameplay and graphics on map 2, it would look like:

Person 1
Map 1: Graphics
Map 2: Gameplay and Graphics

So? If you look at the example I gave a few pages back, the list is sorted by mapmaker, then for each map he's contributed to, it lists what contributions were made. So if Person A did graphics on map 1 and gameplay and graphics on map 2, it would look like:

Person 1
Map 1: Graphics
Map 2: Gameplay and Graphics

These is ok, when you have people who recognise by medals. but i can not add some Map Maker who dont have any map quenched.
I can add these name in Prime Developer list only.
Example: If natewolfman give me idea for Map,and i work with Graphic and Gameplay,and Gilligan work in XML,its normal that medals get me and Gilligan,so i only can mention in mine name Natewolman,because he can not get hes name in letter N.
Ok ,lets try in your example

I don't follow what you're saying. Each map can only have 2 people who get medals, but more than 2 people can work. Going off the medals list is not the best way to create your list. What you should do is what Cairns said - look at each map and see whose names are on the map itself, and use those. If you look at the Holy Roman Empire map, for example, Pamoa and Unit_2 got the medal, but Pamoa, Unit_2, and Greyhawke are all listed as developers on the map itself. Using your system, greyhawke would not get the credit he deserves.

I'm not trying to be mean but I have no idea what you said there. I need a translator. All I can tell is that whatever you've put there seems overly complex when it doesn't need to be.

Can I also note that Feudal War wasn't DiM's idea? Nor did he create any of the graphics. He was the strongest supporter of the map when it was in development. That is why his name is on it.

Just FYI, qwert, edbeard has helped with the mapmakers by map list : viewtopic.php?f=127&t=73988#p1777346

which lists everyone involved in ideas, gameplay, graphics and xml.

If that list is sufficiently verified, I could generate a list for you if you like, will save you a lot of trouble.

Classic Art MAP-5 Medal Contribution

When i start Map Maker Index i realy dont think that i will find these thing, for mine point of view Bad thing. Andy say only 2 people can get medal for create map,its ok.
But when i look Classic Art map,i realy can not find things what put these map in first place for developmental dificulty, these map is very simple graphic and gameplay is same like in old Classic.
Well Moderator and CA know best why these map have 5 medal contribution. :?

Because 6 people worked on it for 14+ hours over night in several shifts to finish it.
