It's amazing how many are so thin-skinned that they actually would take offense to a fictional map because of where the designer placed the socialists, muslims, or any other group...
It doesn't surprise me that Owen was the first to be affronted- afterall, he routinely trolls threads looking for anything which can demonstrate how victimized he is.
But, seriously, everyone knows this map won't move through the process, not because it lacks merit, but because the only maps which move at anything other than a glacial speed are those that are introduced by foundry royalty.
Yep - I'm sure Cairns will have another Egypt, Qwert will have another WWII, and the ever-impressive Mibi will have another complicated piece of shit like Iraq up and running long before any of newcomers are able to get a fair shake. -(No offense Cairns or Qwert)
Perhaps the Foundry should be renamed "More of the Same"...
Symmetry - If you were to make all of the changes people are bitching about, this map will end up having absolutely no assemblance of intrigue or believability.
In short - If you want to make an omelette - you've got to break some eggs.
You picked a loaded subject which can't be executed effectively without pissing off a few believers that everything in life should be "politically correct".
And, for what it's worth, I don't think you should be forced to compromise your original vision -certainly not for a few squeaky wheels who can only compensate for their lack of creativity by trying to dictate what YOUR idea should look like! -Screw 'em!
