Hi all!

With the next Winter Olympics coming soon (Feb. 7th!), I thought it would be fun to organize a series of tournaments to lead us up to the actual event. This is a tournament series , not just one big tournaments with 80 ...

As the thread title says, we're full up. Ill as you as 2nd reserve.

Tournament is full! Kgb007 has the last spot, and slickstick is the reserve - it pays to read the full intro post! Next Sound Off! tournament will require everyone to post their number and not just "In Pls".

Games will be sent out once I receive privileges!

Update!

5 of the 9 games this round have been completed, and both dillybarr and loenatiek have been eliminated from the tournament for losing their population centers to allinpoker1980 and Marshallbobby, respectively.

There may yet be more eliminations as the other 4 games continue.

The second batch of 3 games have been sent out to everyone! Everyone should now have gotten 1 game on each of the 6 regional USA maps.

With the disciplines I've fleshed out already, I've kept each tournament structure and rules as close to an actual medal event as possible.

The issue I'm coming across is that here there's eventually going to be one winner overall, but with the Olympics, they don't do that. Even the most winning ...

Thanks for the insights - I have ideas/plans for a bunch of the tournaments already, I just need to figure out how to fairly distribute the maximum amount of points of each tournament. In ATP there are designated majors and such that have more points, but whose to say which Olympic disciplines are ...

So, in looking over past tournaments done here on CC, I see there's been some based on the current or upcoming Olympics. It seems like it's been an large undertaking sometimes, but I have an idea in my head for the upcoming Olympics in Sochi, and wanted to hear anyone's opinions.
