So, has the board game ever had flat-rate rules? No. Later editions listed it as an optional "House Rule", though. Much like how, officially, you don't get any money for landing on Free Parking in Monopoly.

but surely you would run out of plastic figures.... Not usually with everyone still in the ...

Played a RT, three player game a couple hours ago. Quite fun, but I think the rewards were a little skewed. In the second round, I took the Podium; in the 8th round, I took the game. The lobbies seem a little heavy in their boost, though. Only three territories can attack the lobbies, while five can ...

And yet, all the virus writers still target IE. I wonder why that is.

Maybe it's because MS makes it too easy, like with ActiveX. Probably because more people use IE than Firefox, actually.

Regardless, adding a card counter would be a nice addition. Just because Greasemonkey can do it, doesn't ...

that's pathetic. who would take pride in being falsely perceived as the best? You'd be surprized. People will cheat at anything , even games where there is no winner. Since CC has points, I can only imagine the temptation some people would feel. Especially idiots that think OMG HAX are the only way ...

I got a bad taste for Arctic simply because in a big game, the best player in the group also got fantastic placement.

And in a no-cards game, placement means a lot. I suppose I'd be willing to give it another chance some time.

Recently lost a freestyle assassin game because three players were dead set on getting their continents. I guess they weren't paying attention to the game log, or got "assassin" confused with "terminator".

I'm thinking I'll try to avoid freestyle assassin from now on. Too easy to have someone ...

Maybe CC can do something on this silly games, and make it impossible to have more then 100 armies on one country. 100 is too low. I've managed over 100 in real life Risk games.

Those are fun games... where you break for lunch. And then for dinner. And then go to bed and pick up in the morning...

Scoring in Assassin works like anything else? When the target is taken out, one player gets all the points and everyone else loses? Or does only the target lose and the other players end in a sort of draw?

I think singles are a LOT harder when making public games. I usually end up with atleast 1 deadbeat or somebody who isn't that good and doesn't help keep the board balanced. I dunno. You can have the same hellish set-up in doubles. I'm in a game where both players of one team are well on their way ...

Meh. Fellowship bored me to tears so I never picked any of them back up. I've been meaning to give them another spin, but I don't currently have the interest.

Besides, I far prefer Dunsany's dreamscapes to Tolkien's high fantasy.
