Blue gave me an easy card in California, so I took it. That was really all there was too it. Still in survival mode so I am doing a little as possible to just collect the card.

My strategy is survival. Apparently blue thinks I'm a huge threat down south, so he broke my bonus and left me 7 armies. Then green (I guess technically before blue) weakened my escape route. So I guess I'm getting eliminated instead of blue weakening teal's bonus.

I find Europe is severely underrated. If I hold 3 or 4 territories in Europe at the start of the game I usually go for it. Yes, it has 4 borders, but 3 of those connect, usually noone will go for Asia, so fortifying Ukraina is not so important immediately. Also it takes a while before anyone holds ...
