Re: Round Limits
Guys.. the real issue is not the round limit... its the math that decides the winner. If more math/thought is put into how a winner is decided in the case of the limits being met.. we would find much less opportunity for abuse. I suggest we fix the big problem first.. then look at it all again and ...

Re: Round Limits
At first blush, I loved the idea. Imposing a turn limit is a great way to avoid those endless "reinforce and hold" games with no RISK (or even Fixed value Risk). CC is very responsive to players needs.
But there were several ways to do it. Determine the winner by number of territories held, by the ...

Re: [Feedback Request] New Round Limits?
Why not have a user entered #? It can be a dropdown box with Lots of choices.
At this point, until the feature is used more, its probably best to keep some things standard and organized. The more options we give the user at this point, the more disorganized things can get it. I would suggest the ...

Hey blake... 3 things..
1. You are correct.. I made an assumption.. my apologies.
2. you are assuming it was not lack.
3. It has to do with the quote that was in this very thread.. and also posted on 'lacks' wall.. so.. shhhhh.

I know of at least one other mod team leader that quit in protest to lack's complete disregard for concerns about those trying to improve the site. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if he quit because of the bureaucratic b.s. one has to put up with in his position.

Re: Round Limits
Just curious as to why my last reply was 'censored' and removed? I was very positive about the addition of the round limit.. I just made the suggestion that it should be based on more then just who has the most troops and I gave example as to why that's so and even offered to find a proper ...

Re: Play CC, Win Cash Cup #1 $100.00 in Prizes!!
OK.. here is the thing.. If I open the registration up to 16 players.. and lets say 16 do end up signing up.. if only 12 show up.. that is not on me.. thats on the players.. In that case..as it is in almost every gaming event.. there will be 4 players that get a bye (16-4 = 12 = 4 players with a bye ...

Re: Play CC, Win Cash Cup #1 $100.00 in Prizes!!
The rules are very clear.. but to simplify things even more.. here are how things will work.
Once we get 16 people to sign up/register on the CSN site that wish to take place in this event.. we will set a date/time to do so.
It really should not be that hard.. in fact.. i should be able to setup ...

Re: Play CC, Win Cash Cup #1 $100.00 in Prizes!!
For some reason.. I am not getting approval to run this event yet. Apparently you must have 16 players actually show up for an event.. which is just absurd. I ran an event with me and my buddies not too long ago .. using CC as the game. We had just 4 of us.. put a bit of a wager on the outcome and ...

Re: Play CC, Win Cash Cup #1 $100.00 in Prizes!!
Flex.. I have been running online gaming events for 10 years.. There is nothing shady about what I am doing here. Just this last Sunday we ran a Star Craft II event where over 7000 people were tuned into a stream to watch the matches. Along with that, this next Sunday we are offering a $500 prize ...

I have extended the sign ups until this coming Saturday afternoon.. but I need all of those interested in playing to sign up on the CSN ( www.cyber-sports.net ) website and JOIN the event. This tournament is much different then what you all are used to as it will have a real bracket system and will ...

Re: Round Robin Rule. Is it time for a change?
I am a bit confused as to why you don't choose to run 'round robin' as you like. Who has decided that the way you had it outlined in your initial post is the correct way. My first tournament was round robin, and I used a points system to determine the winners and it was also NOT 1v1. There are many ...

The thing with our system though..is that you sign up for the site.. and JOIN the tournament.. then at the time of the tournament.. you CHECK IN.. this ensures the admins (myself) that you are there. We then add the 16 players that are CHECKED IN. More then 16 can join the event..but only those that ...
