Maybe I'm just too used the board wargames I'm used to playing in which you receive a distinct advantage for attacking with better odds. So when I attack with 5 to 1 odds, I do expect to win with minimal casualties. Unfortunately, that's not how it is when you rely solely on the roll of the dice. Oh ...

I don't know about the whole conspiracy angle, but I can tell you that all day today, I've been losing armies at the rate of at least 2-1 when attacking. I've seen numerous occasions today of the defender getting five 6's in a row while I haven't had even 3 in row as the attacker.

Better odds and losing ties aside, it seems unbalanced when I lose 7 armies to kill 3. I have noticed another anomoly: the defender gets a 6 on his first roll far more than the 1-in-6 times it should happen. I know I'm just beating a dead horse here, but I had to get this off my chest. I have lost ...

How random are the combat rolls? The rolls appear to favor the defender in most cases. An example is a game I am currently playing in which I have lost over 30 armies over the last 4 turns trying to take a single region. Throughout that time I have only inflicted ONE casualty on that defender ...
