Re: Fractured America [Beta] V14.8 Democrat inner glow reduced
I'm really liking the map, and having a blast playing it in quads. Only concern I have is that I don't see anyway in hell of the capitals bonus coming into play in quads or triples- 7 is already half the map. Seems like that would only be a viable bonus in FFAs with 5 or less, or doubles.

Re: WWII Pearl Harbor - [Quenched]
I once saw someone start off the game by getting 12 troops a turn while I was only getting 3. That is hardly balanced. It needed to be changed.
Making a 2 or 3 player game on a large map that has many continent bonuses in play is the real problem there, not the map itself.

Re: WWII Pearl Harbor - [Quenched]
Yes thats great, making the initial attack from the planes is nice and all but do you honestly believe that removing ONE plane per set would be that detrimental to your map?
Yes, it takes away the flavour of what Pearl Harbour was. :)
Not all the planes attacked at the exact same time.
I ...

Re: WWII Pearl Harbor - [Quenched]
Random thought- it'd be interesting if you couldn't receive the AA bonus if you possessed any of the planes that AA attacks.
Since you can't send up flak at your own planes :)
I think an idea that's emerging is lessening the bonuses by 1, or increasing the planes needed by 1.

Re: WWII Pearl Harbor - [Quenched]
Hmm, I personally feel it's too radical of a change- especially since in the actual game (and not just the drop) the planes played such an integral part of the overall strategy.
It seems like it's a big leap from +3 every 2 to +3 every 4.
Why not +3 every 3? It'd still be more difficult to achieve ...

Re: looking for help in in-game politics
They want to build empires, not sweep a board on cards.
Plus a thousand. While I'm no veteran on the site, I avoid escalating games because I want to build empires, make strategic and tactically sound moves, and win the game through careful planning and good decisions . Not luck of the dice, not ...

Re: Zone Denial
Other player's have mentioned the key. Break and hold if you have the strength to put up with CONSTANT assault.
If you don't have that strength, if you don't want the fight to go to the end, break and retreat.
Break and retreat will you with many more options than breaking and holding.

Re: Auto-Assault or No Auto-Assault, that is the question
I have found that if I am playing over my phone, or in a situation where I am experiencing lag; hitting assult tends to get me double losses 20 times in a row, where auto-assault gets me more normal dice. This doesn't happen over normal, low latency situations.. but in lag situations, hitting ...

Re: breaking a truce
I always try to play by the rule of 1; opponents need at least 1 turn of warning before you break a truce.
The key thing is always to remember that it's just a game. Break the truce cordially, tell them that the game circumstances have changed, and that you will consider the truce over in one turn ...

Re: Foundry Stamp Competition
D's readability is seriously lacking. B's is okay, but nothing beats the simplicity of C. People who think those are the only 4 options for the stamp aren't thinking outside the box- the pie chart style easily allows one stage to go before another- and you can figure out where a map is at a GLANCE ...
