I have just one thing to say - freestyle is not a very popular setting in the tournament forums and you might have problems filling your tournament, I'm sure you will find more teams/players when it would be Sequential.

I went up from cadet to wat i am now by wining an 8 player game

I think it was a ligit move and obviously, since its not ilegal, u shoudn't have got a bad rating wat a wihner
This has also happend to me but at least i didn't give that guy a bad rating for he was an honorable opponent.
