I'm not replying to individual posts in this thread anymore because it's pretty obvious that many of the posters are not interested in exchanging arguments (and one has explicitly said so).
I do want to set one thing straight though because yet another baseless accusation has been perpetuated in ...

Re: foggy games first move?
You're playing a game based on war, stop complaining about hostility.
Interesting; I think you're making an important point here. A lot of these threads seems to me to be a clash between two subcultures at CC (obviously I'm oversimplifying), one of which has the attitude you state and engages in ...

Re: foggy games first move?
I wasn't aware that there was a formal rule against doing this.

Ronc started this thread an hour after you informed him of the "convention". Surprise, but he didn't take his opponents word on it. He then realized that he could make a decision on whether he agreed with the ...

joriki said he hoped someone would have contacted him. I was just letting him know it was usually not the case. Nobody is gonna tell you there is a C and A on you.

Re: foggy games first move?
I'm imparting motives on you.
I know, and I'm saying, please stop doing that. It's quite rude in my book.
You are saying it's his fault you deadbeat.
That seems to be a misunderstanding. I came here, to a thread full of accusations that I was deadbeating merely because someone didn't agree to ...

Re: joriki / "forfeiting" in his own words.
I've reported the posts that I perceive as sexist and homophobic to the chat moderators. They were two very specific posts, and this has nothing to do with "cunt" or "dick" or any of the other expletives hurled at me in these threads. I don't enjoy those (though I have to admit I had to laugh about ...

hey... that is really cool that you just spent an hour writing a short novel in the C&A... oddly enough, you are up in that game as the red player. i bet you could have taken your turn in less time than it took to write the same defense you have been posting all over the forums ...

Re: foggy games first move?
Why I don't agree. When I first moved to my town of 600 people, I bought some stuff from the shop and handed the lady a check. She pointed to the sign that said, checks not accepted without six pieces of ID and a $200 deposit. I said, ah well I just bought the place up the road, so I'll be back in ...

And yes, I have read everything.
Then I'm just as confused as you are. If you've read everything, then you read my detailed explanation of how it wasn't the mere disagreement about the convention that I found problematic, but an entire sequence of events that I perceived as hostile. You might not ...

Re: foggy games first move?
He initialized within seconds, but gave his opponent a minute to get a snap. So my bad.
When I said he is doing the exact same thing, I meant he is refusing to acknowledge and acquiesce to Ronc's decision regarding the rule, and yet demanding that Ronc's adhere to his opinion of it.

Re: joriki / "forfeiting" in his own words.
Whoa, whoa, whoa. Can we not say "cunt" on CC? Surely there is wriggle room to say "cunt" if it is not used to abuse or harass.
Yes, I was differentiating between expletives and actual sexist and homophobic remarks, and I agree that in most usages "cunt" would belong in the former category ...

Are you saying that it's my responsibility to come get you?
No, not yours individually -- first and foremost it's the responsibility of the person who opened the thread and made accusations -- and then if they don't do that and it becomes apparent in the discussion that I'm not there, it's also ...

You've been shirking. "Why didn't someone come get me? [...]"
I'm not sure I understand -- are you saying it's my own responsibility to check the forums once in a while to see whether people are publicly discussing my behaviour there, and I shouldn't expect people to let me know when they do?

Re: foggy games first move?
I was unaware of this thread while most of the discussion took place. I find it highly disrespectful to publicly discuss other players' behaviour in this way without telling them about it.
A new C & A thread has now been opened, owenshooter notified me of it, and I've posted my perspective there ...

Re: joriki / "forfeiting" in his own words.
Hi everyone -- this is a reply not only to this thread, but mostly also to a previous thread (http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=209279), in which, it turns out, I was a subject of public discussion and mudslinging for two weeks without anyone ever telling me about it, and also to ...

OK, found it: http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewto ... 6&t=209279. I would have found it appropriate to notify me earlier that apparently there's been a public thread about me for two weeks, with 63 posts.

Hi -- thanks for linking to this on my wall -- this is the first time I hear about this being a public topic -- could you please link to the "earlier ruling by a mod" that you refer to?

Re: Ballenus Conquer Rome double championship [12/12]
We figured it was OK because the other team joined last and had the opportunity to snap upon joining, but didn't take into account the possibility of joining by cellphone without snaps

Re: Ballenus Conquer Rome double championship [12/12]
I got this message from regan the great "hi, due too unforseen reasons myself and nicky15 will be unable to continue any further in this tournament. my apologies R.T.G.". This means we will have 9 teams from now on... This means that their return games will be cancelled.

Re: Ballenus Conquer Rome double championship [12/12]
silver will play that one more game
maybe he will need time to open a slot, but he will accept it asap
Thanks for making that possible. By the way, counting the first half if it's completed isn't an idea that josko.ri and I came up with (full disclosure: we both would lose a point otherwise); it ...

Re: Ballenus Conquer Rome double championship [12/12]
since silver has gone freemium and will not renew, remove us from tourney
thx
This tournament requires two games a month, which makes it very freemium friendly. Isn't it a shame to spoil everyones fun by quitting?
one team already dropped out, silver doesn't plan to stick around much longer ...
