Re: War of the Roses Map (Version 13 p.9 comments please!)
The last version of this map that I saw had the locations of the main battles signified by crossed swords. They seem to have disappeared but I was going to suggest auto-deploy on them, also Hull, Bristol, Liverpool and London would be good places for sea routes

Re: England Map [D] --> Update Apr 29th <-- p1/19
I think it does, but that's a good thing, it's like England - very traditional and rooted in history in one sense, and bureaucratic and Orwellian in another sense. Spot on I think.Merciless Wong wrote:Can we put a poll up to see if anyone else thinks the modern sign clashes with the older poem?

Ha, ha, we really are quite predictable aren't we?I too, imagine that games would take a similar development - becoming a north-south battle. This would be extremely attractive to many englishmen.

Just congratulating you on a cool looking map, I love the motorway roadsign with the bonuses on it. =D>

Re: Evolution vs Creation-Comparing each View
There's a great Neitzsche quote that eplains why this argument occurs on all forum all the time, it goes something like "If you seek happiness and peace of mind then believe, if you would be a student of the truth, inquire"
I think it sums up religion and rationalism quite nicely.

Re: Evolution vs Creation-Comparing each View
Oh yeah, and heres some evidence that's usually ignored which favours evolution: going by human remains from the past 2000+ years we can see that humans have been gradually getting taller, the average man is 2-3 inches taller than his medieval counterpart, probably because of improved diet and/or ...

Re: Obama and Communism in the USA
Don't understand where all the fear comes from, Britain has had socialist elements to it's style of government since just after the 2nd world war and our standard of living is equal to the US's, roughly.
I think you're getting socialists and bogey men mixed up.

That was Mendel, but not many people listened to the crazy pea happy monk for ages.
In 8th grade I had to draw a chart with every possible pairing for peas for my science teacher. I F-ing hate Mendel.

Despite the pedantry the point still holds - its un-christian to kill people, surely. So how can chaplains justify their position?

Re: If you threw a single snowball at a policeman...
I used to spend many happy nights of my childhood throwing eggs at police cars when they went down our high street and the legging it through the school field to escape.
So in answer to your question, I don't know what would happen, just make sure the cops fat and you have your escape route planned.

If the chaplains were being at all honest with themselves or the soldiers they work for then they wouldn't be in the army.

Re: U.N. divided over gay rights declaration
I like the UN. While it's true that they do often fail at tasks at least they try, unlike the majority of developed countries. The reasons for the many failures are also down, in the main part, to the fact that countries - specifically USA, France and Germany although many others also - usually ...

I don't understand your position. You say that the scoring system is unfit for purpose but then say that it has integrity and needs to be maintained.

There's a number of good reasons, and it has nothing to do with points/rank. Do your research.
I've had a thread on this subject that I posted on for about a month and a half, and I've read plenty of others. Yes there are a good number of reasons but almost all of those reasons are from one point ...
