Bump about the un-commented about idea of having actual (1) missed turn % and (2) deadbeat percentage for speed games.
Help me uncover people who have a tendency to leave in the team games I normally play, and leave their team-mate dead in the water

Re: New Feedback System Preview
I understand your point about casual players, Max. Fair enough.
Then let's have it for speed only. I just want to have a fool-proof way built in so that I can TELL who consistently deadbeats and misses turns, in speed games (where, by definition, you should generally not).

Re: New Feedback System Preview
This looks good, except this category called Attendance.
Mentioned earlier in the thread as well, but sorta died off. Why can't we get actual site calculated numbers on % turns missed, % games kicked out for missing three turns?
I know it's been mentioned that some people don't care about these ...

Re: DeadBeat Counter
Tubaman,
Appreciate the thought - but what about doubles games? I love doubles - play them consstantly - on speed. Of course I want to know if my partner is prone to just leaving in the middle (as, trust me, many doubles players are)

Re: DeadBeat Counter
No, deadbeating is a way for a person to leave without disrupting the game. I don't care WHAT game you're in, deadbeating midgame is STILL a way to get out of suiciding. You will see a significant higher rate of suicides if you do what you suggest, so NO, I'm completely against it.

Re: DeadBeat Counter
It turned into a stalemate and I didn't have time to stick around, so I deadbeated, and everyone greeted it graciously as opposed to someone who suicides instead. Is that what you want? People who will suicide other people so they are quickly eliminated so that their deadbeat score doesn't go up? I ...

Re: DeadBeat Counter
Quick questions:
1. What sort of revamp? Will it be a clear, easily identifiable percentage?
2. If not, can we please include it?

Re: DeadBeat Counter
Any mods reading?
I think lots of people agree on this idea - provided it is a rolling percentage of the last 75 games or so.

I recounted to be sure.
Friends: 15
Foes: 24
Quite a good ratio, I'd say.

Re: DeadBeat Counter
After reading everyone's posts, I think there's general consensus that this is a good things.
Some concerns:
1. You can get penalized for deadbeating you did when you were a noob - this can be addressed by a rolling percentage by the % you deadbeated in your last 75 games
The other point raised ...

Re: DeadBeat Counter
While I generally agree with you, it's mostly not possible, if someone is joining your game in the last, or second-last position. This just makes it far more simple and plain easy.

Re: Have a filter based on % Negative Feedback/points
I have read all those threads - I searched e'm before posting this.
You still haven't gotten my point. How am I supposed to read someone's feedback if they join the game last, or second last? It's nigh-impossible. All I suggested was, that let's agree that someone who has 10% negative feedback ...

This is something we all want, and I really don't see the downside. Name and shame.

Re: DeadBeat Counter
Why has this been rejected?
A deadbeat ratio (a % number that they have deadbeated in games) would probably be one of the MOST relevant numbers to everyone on this site.

Re: Have a filter based on % Negative Feedback/points
The problem is that we want to ENJOY games - especially doubles one, where you rely totally on your partner - not wait 15 minutes of our time.
I don't care about points, I want to have FUN, and deadbeaters ruin that

Re: Have a filter based on % Negative Feedback/points
Hi all,
Just read your posts explaining why some people have some unfair negative feedback (retaliation, etc). I understand this, and am trying to figure out a way that can work with both viewpoints - mine being that I hate people who deadbeat (who you can generally identify through high negative ...

So far we have 5 people who agree on a negative % filter, and five who don't.

Re: Have a filter based on % Negative Feedback/points
I was in a doubles game today - and the fourth person who joined (i.e. the last one) - had two negatives out of 14 overall feedbacks (14%). For deadbeating. Guess what - he deadbeated.
We need to address this somehow. Private games are just not feasible logistically. This makes perfect sense ...
