Good point about 8-hours-per-turn getting in the way of sleep. I should have said 12 hours. And regarding your point that the whole point of this site is to not stress over whether or not you're missing your turn, I understand what you mean, however:

Noobie here. I am 1 day old and already tired of deadbeats.
One solution would be to make a new 8-hour-per-turn version of the game. When joining or starting a game, the player could choose between games with 24 hour turns or 8 hour turns. Maybe name the new kind "Accelerated Game," or something ...
